THERMOSTATS

What is a thermostat? Why buy a thermostat?
A thermostat is a unit that sits between the engine and the radiator. The thermostat blocks the flow of coolant to the radiator until the engine has warmed up. When the engine is cold, no coolant flows through the engine. Once the engine reaches its operating temperature, the thermostat opens up. Aftermarket performance thermostats open up at a lower temperature than a factory unit allowing the coolant to flow through your engine sooner, reducing coolant temperatures. If your vehicles cooling system is efficient, you're less prone to overheating when putting you car through extreme performance measures.

How do you install a thermostat?
A thermostat is installed by removing the thermostat housing unit. Once removed you can replace the factory thermostat with the aftermarket unit and help your engine cool off faster.
