2011 Dodge Nitro Review And Image Gallery
he Nitro, a mid-size SUV from Dodge combines a high belt line and a raised seating position for passengers in a unique and distinctive "boxy" shape to set itself apart from other mid-size SUV's. Available in rear-wheel or four-wheel drive the Dodge Nitro comes in three trims: Heat, Detonator, and Shock. All 3 trims feature a powerful 260-hp 4.0-liter V6 engine mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. The Heat offers standard amenities such as power mirrors, windows and door locks with remote keyless entry, satellite radio, air conditioning, cruise control and seating for five. The Detonator adds rear-park assist, remote start system, power driver's seat, overhead console, trip computer, compass and exterior temperature display. The Shock adds heated front seats, leather trim interior, and a power sunroof. Standard safety features include: front airbags, side curtain airbags, active head restraints, traction and stability control with roll-over mitigation, brake assist, and a tire-pressure monitor. For 2011, the Heat gets several upgrades including a larger engine, five-speed automatic transmission, new wheels, an auto-dimming rear view mirror, cruise control, UConnect, security system, and deep tinted windows. The Detonator and Shock each get new wheels and a hood stripe.

2009 Dodge Durango
Chrysler has placed its flavor of the two-mode hybrid drivetrain in the 2009 Dodge Durango. Originally slated as a 2008 model, production has been pushed back and the Durango Hybrid--along with its cousin Chrysler Aspen Hybrid--will be released in mid 2008 as a 2009 model. With a starting MSRP of $26,455, the Durango Hybrid will offer a 5.7-liter HEMI with Multiple Displacement System (MDS), and is anticipated to offer a 25 percent improvement in fuel efficiency, and according to Dodge, up to a 40 percent boost in the city.
